Richard Whittenburg, known as Whitty (rhymes with itty, bitty, nitty, gritty, ditty, and a couple of more words) started his career as a photographer after riding bulls and some bareback horses until he was 34 years of age. He started taking pictures of family and 4-H projects, picking up the local county livestock show then growing into larger shows and getting back into the rodeo arena. His experience rodeoing and growing up with cattle enable him to take the quality pictures that he takes.
Richard joined Two Dog Enterprises in 2007. He started off by working the table for us at different events. He now is the second shooter at many of the events and covers additional events. Richard has had a passion for photography since he was young and has been taking pictures at rodeos since 2006. In addition to his role as photographer he also is our Photoshop guru, works on some of our design stuff as well as maintaining our website and social media. Richard grew up in South Texas, Del Rio. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications with a focus on public relations and electronic media from Texas Tech University.
